Pierre Minassian was born in Roanne in 1972. Son of architect, he studies architecture in Lyon and Liverpool. Before settling in Lyon and creating his agency in 1999 within the group of architects au * m, he attended many French and English agencies. His contemporary houses , highly publicized, have imposed him as a rising figure of contemporary architecture .
The architectural production of his agency is characterized by an iconic minimalist style. His search for an architecture that he calls true architecture, brought him alongside the famous architect Rudy Ricciotti . The two men occasionally collaborate together and realize, among other things, the Colombus hotel on the Lyon Confluence site. The activity of his agency remains divided between public projects and the construction of houses that he particularly likes and in which he generally invests for the realization of elements that he considers not feasible by a company. The curtain of the biscuit house will have required nearly 200 hours of work. Although not ostentatious in the constructions of the agency, the environmental approach takes an important part in the design of the buildings. The largely glazed constructions and often in raw concrete develop excellent environmental performances.
These last years will have been for Pierre Minassian a consecration in France and abroad where his projects have generated significant media in architectural journals, exhibitions or television shows devoted to architecture.
