White Snake House
You can access this contemporary house with pool located on a lake surrounded by a wood thanks to a retractable telescopic footbridge which isolates it from the riverbank.
Pierre MINASSIAN’s architecture studio designed the house as if it were a glass pavilion set on the water between two slabs of serpentine white concrete forming a roof patio, supported by stilts. The implementation of the raw materials contributes to a minimalist architecture: the glazing and its curves is embedded in the floor. The internal organization of the house stretches on one level, with separate day/night spaces.
It is remarkable with a structure in steel made up with two steel plate of 2cm thick cut, folded and suspended. These plates make up a thick façade that coat technical room that is low-glassed of the house. The pool is immersed in the lake water and works by overflowing.
